Important GP Surgery Updates from October 1st 2025

Enhancing Patient Record Sharing with Community Pharmacies

Dear Patients,

We are committed to improving the quality and safety of your healthcare. Starting 1 October 2025, we will be implementing a new system called GP Connect Update Record. This change is part of a national initiative aimed at enhancing the way information is shared between your GP practice and community pharmacies.

What does this mean for you?

  • Faster Updates: Information from consultations at participating community pharmacies will be sent directly to our system, ensuring your medical records are updated more promptly.

  • Improved Accuracy: This direct sharing reduces the risk of errors associated with manual data entry, helping us provide you with safer and more efficient care.

  • Enhanced Communication: By streamlining the exchange of information, we can better coordinate your care with other healthcare providers.

What do you need to do?

No action is required on your part. If you have any questions or concerns about this update, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your continued trust in our services.
